The typical artist background does not apply to my story. Raised in a hard-working, blue-collar family in the South, I didn’t foresee a career in art, and instead thought I would become a truck driver as my father before me and his father before him.

As the creative talent in me came out through my school years, teachers, friends and supportive parents spurred me on to explore what careers may be available. Freelance projects gave me confidence, and I landed my first artist position at a local printing company. Upon graduating school, I passed on several college scholarships and started a family.

I honed my craft over several decades, becoming more skillful in many aspects of art and production, developing a reputation as a talented illustrator and valuable asset to businesses and individuals alike.

That’s Me

I began my own business in 2013, making plenty of new mistakes as I blazed my own path in the world. Over the past decade, the focus of my work has been mainly providing custom illustrations, branding and consultation to the apparel industry. Since striking out on my own, God has certainly blessed me and my family, and carried us through many a dark wood.

In early 2019, I invested in equipment and began creating 3-dimensional paintings in virtual reality, developing my own style and exploring use case scenarios and testing implementation. This research and exploration continues, as I look for new ways to make use of this exciting new medium.

Recently, I have begun to return to my first love, painting. I laid it down for many years as I raised a family and built a business. I’ve begun to pick up the brush again and look forward to the chance incorporate my painted works into my business.

Time is short for me, but the remaining future is bright. I’m hopeful and I’m not afraid of hard work. God has been good to me and He has preserved me for a reason, and I’m excited to discover that reason.
